THIS is why I love Iray... can't get any where near the lighting in Poser... Unless I'm missing something.  Poser always seems to have a headlamp on... I can turn it off in Iray.  You Poser users... Am I missing something????

Malka's got a new boyfriend with a new red truck... Photo opt time!

Just delete it LL...I always just click on the light and the little bin will show up then click on that and gone!

I have no idea which one is the headlamp... In Daz it looks like this...

The attached image is Poser 11's default interface. I put a dress on La Femme to keep it PG.
Near the lower left corner is a section With the words "Light Controls" There is a large ball, with four small balls on sticks stuck to it. Each of the small balls represents one of the lights in your scene. If you click on one of those small balls some text will appear and you can delete that light right there. Do the same with the other three, and all of the lights in the scene will be gone. You will know when there are no lights in the scene because the work window will be totally black.

I spent most of the day (January 13) watching tutorials for Poser 11. Still don't have my runtime libraries added. Seems to still be eluding me on how to do that!

I like your latest portrait, Llola! She looks ready for Run in the Sun!

As for the lighting using IRay in DAZ Studio, I am not able to do it because my computer cannot handle it. That said, in DAZ Studio I am able to do my own lighting for most of my scenes; creating and editing each light myself. I know how to make my lights do whatever I want, and it has served me well over the years.

In Bryce there is yet another lighting system. which is more robust than DAZ Studio or Poser lighting. First of all is the Sky Lab, which includes editing tools for the Sun, even for turning it off. Then there are a lot of different styles of lights in the Lights menu bar,. And finally there is the ability to create Gel Lights and even your own second Sun, or even two or more extra Suns. All lights, no matter which type, are fully editable. One of the best reasons that I like Bryce so much.

@Agent I am just about to head away for two weeks but if you are still having trouble getting the libraries into poser when I get back I am happy to try and help

Thanks Agent... I know all that.  I guess I'm not explaining myself good enough.  I've spent most of the night working with the lighting dots... I still can't figure out which one is acting like a headlamp ... Yes... I checked all the Properties... Played with the different kinds of light.. etc.  The main thing that gets my craw is the nose holes... there should be shadows in nose holes.  No matter where you turn a light it should cast shadows on the nose/holes... If you see my render with the headlamp on... she has no shadows on her nose... but if I turn it off... waa laaa... shadows.  Just can't figure out how to fix it in Poser.  I'm tired... I guess I'll just stick with my Daz.  I guess I'm just too picky with wanting things realistic in my artwork.  Thanks oodles.
