Playing with different effects

Great idea Sanbie... Love how the eyes are a different color.  I like experimenting with effects too... not all come out as great as yours though!  Well done.

Thanks Simon... it's getting to be a challenge to come up with artwork each week for the + items... sometimes down right impossible... sheesh... (at least it wasn't a vehicle or plant!)  lol

My first render with La Femme2 and poser13...

Another poser 13 render...this time using Dawn SE

Nice work, Sanbie. Despite having had two versions of Poser it never really gelled with me and I am rather jealous of the dynamic cloth room (or whatever it is called) you have with it.

Shows that Dawn has a few character morphs of note! I like her pose.
This image is big enough for the Big Picture Thread, but I'm glad you posted it here.

Simon, I have Poser 11, but I am struggling to get familiar with it. The Cloth Room is a feature that makes dynamic clothing for it easy to use, but I still don't know how to use it. At this time I am even having trouble setting up my Runtime Libraries in Poser.

I understand DAZ Studio so well, that working to learn Poser is taking a back seat. I have the old Poser 10 32 bit version from when Smith Micro had Poser. But it is not installed anymore, because it won't run on my Windows 10 PC. I won that version about 10 years ago, and won Poser 11 Pro 3 or 4 years ago.

The real reason I never learned much about Poser is because I got DAZ Studio 4.0 about 12 or 13 years ago for free, when they first started giving the program to everybody. Poser has not been given away except as prizes in certain contests, and as gifts to some people. So by the time I had my first version of Poser, I already knew a lot about DAZ Studio. When I got DAZ Studio 4.0 for free, it was in a DAZ Bundle that included Bryce 7.1 Pro (my second and best version), and Hexagon 2.5 (which I could not wrap my head around, due to its to me confusing interface).

I still use Bryce 7.1 Pro, even now, though it has not had an upgrade since I got it. It just has so many awesome features that one would not expect from a 32 bit application, and there are still things i'm learning about it. I also have invented my own way of modelling in Bryce, coupling it with Wings 3D and JSPlacement to come up with some awesome looking space ships. Bryce has been so good, that it has actually been the program I used to do images that have won me a few contests; and I expect that it will continue to do so for me. I cannot complain about that!

As for Poser, I am going to have to set up a self study regimen to learn more about it. Our site here, PFDLives once had lots of tutorial threads, with actually great tutorials to follow for learning to use Poser. The very name of this site actually stands for "Poser For Dummies Lives". We lost the bulk of the tutorials when we had to switch to a new server host. If any of our members have those tutorials saved on a hard drive, it would be nice to see them brought back to this site! (Hint Hint, to whomever that may be.) Going to Renderosity to find tutorials for Poser is proving to be rather difficult, especially because many of the people making the tutorials want you to buy them. While I don't mind folks wanting to make money on such things, I do think to get enough knowledge together to make a good go of it should not be so expensive. Few can pay enough to get all the needed knowledge.

But... we have dForce now in Daz... so it's similar... although I reaaaaaaaally need more practice with it!

Well done sanbie... Good to see some Poser 13 artwork.  I wondered if it was much better than my Poser 11.
