What I like about this image is the fact that the skidmarks, tiresmoke, and brake light afterglow streaks are all aligned with each other. The driver is obviously standing on his brake pedal!

The getting them in line was the basic idea! The light trail and tyre marks are part of the same effects set, so it did not take too much effort to get them aligned! The smoke effects were a bit more effort, but were not much of an issue.
