Hello everyone,
I have an announcement here for all members of PFDLives. I have been given permission to create a special challenge for all of our members who wish to participate. This challenge will involve doing the work to compose Big Picture images to submit for the challenge. As such this thread will become the new Big Picture Thread for 2024, and the old one will be locked; meaning no more images will be able to be posted in that thread. The images posted there will still be viewable, but no other activity will be possible.

There will be a challenge for the new thread from now until April 10 2024 to do Big Picture images with small detail that is best seen by viewing the images at their largest zoom. All images submitted to the thread during the time period stated must be for the challenge.

After I won the February 2024 Monthly contest at The Fantasies Attic I noted that I was supposed to choose three products from the collection by the dearly departed Jean-Luc Ajrarn. As I already have nearly everything I could want from that collection, I noted that there was just one of them I could possibly want. I still want it, but I can wait to get it later. But that leaves me with the decision of what to do with those prizes. I discussed it with DarkAngel and we came to an agreement after shooting suggestions back and forth to each other. Her suggestion was to gift it to some one here at PFDLives. I had suggested splitting the prizes up with the second, third, and fourth place winners in the contest. But when she suggested gifting them to someone here, it sparked an idea I think is awesome. To make it an award for winning a Big Picture 2024 challenge. I told her about that, and she further suggested locking the existing Big Picture Thread and creating a new one to use for the challenge contest. Yes this will be a contest, and the prize will be the winner's choice of three products from the Jean-Luc Ajrarn collection! Now though I will be posting Big Picture images in the thread, none of my images will be eligible for the contest! I want to see you all having the fun of competing with each other for the win.

I am choosing as broad a challenge as I can for this contest. My challenge to you is to choose something you would call a favorite theme using some of your favorite content and think outside the box by kitbashing it! Perhaps you like doing fairies. Kitbash them with other fantasy or animal creatures to create a unique creature. Make some of the details of the new creature small so that we must zoom in to see them, and make those details look interesting. Maybe instead you like doing certain types of vehicles. Take two or more and kitbash them to make an unusual looking combination of them. Again make some of the features small so that we must zoom in close to see the detail, and make that detail look interesting. Perhaps you are into doing architecture. Kitbash several types together and add small details that look interesting and need to be zoomed in to see well. Or you could KItbash several accessories and or props together to create interesting new ones, and have them being used or wielded by a character of your choice. You might have several clothing items you like using a lot. Kitbash them together to make some truly unique outfits; and yes, I want you to have small interesting looking details that need to be zoomed in to see clearly. Of course there are other types of content you can do this with. The main thing is to exercise your imagination and make what you do for the thread look awesome when we zoom in to see the small details.

Submissions for the contest will be accepted all the way through April 10 2024, at which time I will compare them all and choose a winning image. Make my job hard folks! Make all of your images so interesting, it will be difficult for me to choose just one of them! I may have to take a few days to determine my choice, but that will be really awesome to me! I want your best efforts shining through! So get your imaginations working overtime for this. You may post as many images as you wish for this contest; the more the merrier, and the more difficult it will be for me! So make me proud by bringing your A+ Game!

All images must be no less that 2000px in at least one direction, and no more than 3000px. File size for each image must be no more than 1000kb. All images must be Kid viewable; in other words keep them PG.

Now y'all get your imaginations going and give us some awesome entries for the contest!

The image I am posting is an example of one kind of kitbash. in it you will see elements of about four different creatures used to make the monster.

Hope you get many entries so...everyone get to entering. Just so we don't have to scroll to much for images......try to keep the talk to images shown only, or questions.

I'm quite fond of SF-related stuff, so ...

Love the detail in the Fembot! Where did you get her? The larger robot is one I've seen a few times, but you made it look as though it belongs in this image.
Well done!

Now we need some more people participating in this challenge!
