Greetings!

I present the 'Name that Movie' Challenge where you guess what movie or tv program the presented render is from. The first to correctly guess the name is the WINNER!

Rules:

  • When you post your guess, it must be the full correct name.
  • Guess as many times as you like.
  • Don't cheat by using IMDb
  • Have fun!
Hints can be provided as necessary for the really tough ones.

I encourage others to make their own 'Name that Movie' Challenge. You could even do one based on a game or comic book. Prizes are not necessary as this is mostly just for fun.

But, since this is a MeshWorks3d challenge, the first correct guess will win a prize! The prize will be any one single item (non bundle) of your choice from the MeshWorks3d stores Product pages.

Here's the first Challenge Image.

But there can be 2 winners for this challenge. Notice in the render that the buckles are not correctly attached to the jacket. Anyone with the ability to work with conforming clothes is encouraged to PM me if you can fix this mess I made when creating it. Help me get this cool jacket to work and you will also win a prize from the MeshWorks3d store.

The helmet is a custom made prop and will be made available in the Downloads tab at MeshWorks3d once I package it up.

Stezza

looks like something from
Battlestar Galactica

but I could be wrong lol

I'm guessing it's not "Tarzan" or "Zorro" ...

Agent0013

My guess would be the same as Stezza's; Battlestar Galactica. I seem to recall them having helmets of that shape.

Nice to see challenges from members here.

Yes, it looks like the helmets and also the jackets they wore on Battlestar Galactica.   Could be Galactica 1980...that was a movie, I think.  I was a big fan of the show.  I have the boxed set DVD collection, in a special box that has the Cylon head, with a placstic insert that looks like the "eye" that moves as you change viewing direction slightly (don't know how else to decribe it).

"Battlestar Galactica" is correct. Sorry for the slow reply today.

I was hoping for a more precise answer, but realized there wasn't one. There was the original TV series in the 70's, a full length movie and the sci-fi series in the 2000's with the same title.

However, the image was based on the 1978 Movie. That particular Jacket and Helmet was used in both the original TV series and the movie.

Battlestar Galactica

There were two other films made based on ToS, but were named differently. 'Mission Galactica: The Cylon Attack' (1979) was constructed from three Battlestar Galactica series episodes, "The Living Legend: Parts1 & 2" and "Fire In Space", edited together to seem like one story, and had a limited release.

Then there was the ill received "Galactica 1980" that finished off it's legacy.

I too, am a big fan of the Battlestar Gallactica universe.

Stezza, PM me with your prize selection from the MeshWorks3d Product Catalog. Congrats!

MeshWorks

Thanks for all the correct answers. I'll try to make the next one harder.

Still looking for some help with the Jacket buckles.
