Well... I'm NOT biting... Let me know if you get anything good ;)

Oh, there will be no grab bag for me...I can't spend much lately, anyway.  I keep getting emails about all the things in my wish list that are on sale.  I can look, but not touch.  Last night, I used my $6 DAZ+ coupon and got Skies of Iradiance bundle for $1.99.  I rarely use the other coupon because you have to buy $18 worth of stuff to get the $6 off...can't do it most months.

I was ordering anyway so I got the free grab bags and if there's nothing good (I don't use La Femme so I won't be using that) at least they were free.
good idea Kathryn... All my money has been going to the Daz sale this month... OMG... My runtime is sooo stuffed!  lol

Kathryn

I've been thinking about clearing out my runtimes, especially the V4 one because I have sooo much stuff that I'll never use.  I have it all in my two external drives and I'm thinking of just keeping a very light runtime on my main computer.. but I'm not looking forward to the task of clearing stuff out...

Yeah.. I've been thinking of splitting mine too... only thing is... if I have Daz look for 2 different runtimes I keep getting the double character error cause it senses both runtimes :(  Even if they are on different drives!  Weird.

Kathryn

I only plug my external in to save stuff and once it's saved I unplug so I wouldn't have that problem.

Apologies, Folks. I know I've been a bit scarce here of late. I've not had much time to do anything online. My van is taking up my time as I try to work on getting it back on the road. Finding small part like bolts for the Water Pump Pulley has been an exercise in near futility, but I finally was able to identify what the exact bolt is. I have to replace the Water Pump, because whoever worked on the before I bought the van left one of those bolts out. After driving the vehicle with it like that, the pulley vibrated so badly it caused the bearing inside the water pump to wear out. As the bearing is deep inside the workings of the pump, fixing the pump would be more expensive than just replacing it. To stop the vibration of the pulley I need the correct mounting bolts for it, but none of the stores in my area have Water Pump Pulley Bolts. Crazy to be calling them that, right? I know those types of bolts are used for more than just a Water Pump Pulley. So, I finally figured out how to word my search, to learn what the exact bolt is. I took the part number of the pack that is no longer available and asked google to give me its specifications. Now I can go to Lowes, Home Depo, or any hardware store and buy the exact bolts with the info I found.
I still have the work to do and I need to order the parts I will need. I'm not going to need the pulley, as it is in good shape judging from my inspection of it. Even the threads for the bolts look good. So today I will be ordering the Water Pump, and will be hopefully to a hardware or building supply store to get the bolts. I'm seriously thinking of getting a box of those bolts for "just in case". Then I have to get to work fixing the van and getting it back on the road.
I have already checked to see if there has been any overheating due to the messed up water pump. As soon and the serpentine belt that runs the pump and several other functions was thrown, I pulled into a parking lot and parked the van. A preacher friend of mine towed it home for me. Good thing too, because since I can do all the work myself, I will be saving the money that would go to any mechanic, and I will make sure it is done right. I'll also likely be circumventing the shadiness of some mechanics, who will say, "You need this, this, and this done before you can drive it again!" I'm sure you guys know the type. They will tell you lies to make you think you can't drive a vehicle because of something they claim needs fixing. Meanwhile, there is really no problem with what they are talking about. It's just a scam to get more money out of the customer. Well, I am a capable man that knows how those types work, and how to check for things that need fixing, and what can be left alone until it can be fixed, while still driving the vehicle. I thank a man I worked for whos was the most honest mechanic in Griffin Georgia. He taught me the basics of diagnosing problems with automobiles, and how to find the best instructions on how to fix anything on any vehicle. I always go to the Chilton Mechanics Books for whatever vehicle I am working on. In that trade the Chilton Books are the Mechanic's Best!

Now, I move on to the subject of this thread:
Kathryn, your first portrait fits the theme of the monthly challenge, and oh yes; SHE IS PURRRTY! I like everything you posted thereafter too! Even the scary ones!
As for V4, I still use her, and grab whatever I can for her; as well as for all the other Millennium 4 figures. I am in dire need of characters, clothing, and accessories for M4, H4, F4, and D4; not had much luck getting much of anything for them. What I like is that almost all of what fits the Mil 4 figures can also be fitted to Genesis, and Genesis 2 males or females (if you have the Gen X 2 for those figures. Considering the fact that I cannot use the latest DAZ figures, Genesis is my Go To figure, because I have the morphs to make it look like the Mil3 and Mil4 figures, and clothing, accessories, and hair from them can be fitted to Genesis! There are exceptions to that though, depending on how an item was made. I try to keep the things that won't work with later figures in a separate runtime, to be used only with the figures they are for. As for Hair, I can fit almost any hair to any figure fairly well, without needing the fit to utilities of DAZ Studio. Imagine The FREAK 5 with Aiko 3's Mitsu Hair! LOL
Anyway, I'll be creating the November Show Off Thread after Midnight, my time zone. Hope you will like the Challenge Theme!

Sounds like October was an adventurous month for you Agent... Hopefully November will be less busy for you.

The adventure isn't over yet. Still have a lot to do, and will likely have to buy a special set of tools for the job,... if I am unable to find the set I know I have here somewhere. When you move to a different residence, things become hard to locate in all of what you have packed up. This set is a set of Allen Wrenches, and my main tool box does not include them. I know I have a set, but where they are is unknown to me or my brother.

haaa... I'm still unpacking boxes from when we moved to our house 20+ years ago... Hubby is starting to pitch the stuff... if we haven't used/missed it in 20years... we don't need it... he says... LOL

Rather than toss out things I don't use anymore, I either give them away or sell them. The only toss outs are those that are broke down, and of no use to anyone. They go to recycling if possible. Tools only get tossed if they are unusable. I value my tools because they are ways to make work and money.
