The effect around Niketa and daughter looks excellent. That one would have fit into an earlier challenge back in May, also. If you recall it was about "Mothers". A well done piece for sure, Llola!


Kathryn, I like the mist effect you placed around your character! It looks awesome!

This is another image I entered for the FRM July Contest. It didn't win anything, but it shows how I think outside the box.



Mermaid Hyperspace Navigator


I'm Captain Farnzworth of the Starship Diligence. Yes my engine room is almost empty. The equipment is not needed now. The creature in the bubble is Zhea'Auri, a mermaid who visited Earth 780 years ago. She was seen by sailors who were thought to have Sea Madness. She is the reason we've no equipment here. She can navigate hyperspace without it. Other ships will soon host her species, but for now, my ship is the only one.


Credits:
Captain Mayfield- Michael 4 with Rievel Hair and M4 Facial Hair, wearing the M4 Space Dweller Outfit, retextured using DAZ 3Delight Cloth Shaders and Metal Shaders.
Science Fiction Construction Set components scaled for size, and textured using some of my JSPlacement Greebles shaped Shaders to build the room.
A DAZ Studio Primitive Sphere as the Bubble Aquarium Environment, made for the character inside it. I used a Glass Shader to make it appear to be filled with water.
Mermaid Character - Zhea'Auri - Genesis 2 Female(s) with the Lorelei Mertail. Her top is from another clothing set. The hair is the Neftis Addition Hair Styles Addi Base Cap and Ponytail, with the Black color textures. Her pose was created by me, using the pose dials.
Lights were created from the DAZ Studio Create Menu:
All lights are Linear Point Lights, edited for color and the other features of that type of light, then moved to strategic positions to make them cast light from where I needed them to.
Post work was done using four different programs to achieve the best effect possible for each effect type.

This image may not be considered for the Monthly Prize Award, as it was already in the monthly contest for July at FRM.

Excellent render Agent...the effect on the ball primitive has to be seen at the larger view to appreciate it better..

Thank you, Sanbie for the reply to my earlier question. I don't have Paintshop Pro, and cannot afford to buy it, so using that type of feature will need to be from something I do have, if I have something that can do that. It is a nice and interesting effect.


On your latest image, I love that you created the effect yourself, using what you have available. Shows that you have plenty of imagination, and you are able to figure out unusual ways to use your available resources. Well done, indeed!
