Dragonfly Orion Team Female In Flight


An exclusive group of enhanced humans has been given a fleet of very advanced vehicles, called "The Dragonflies", as their rides. Each member of the group has one, and this group is divided into 12 teams. Each team consists of a male and female member. Each team has a Dragonfly for each member of the team, and their suits and Dragonflies are all given finishes that are representative of their team name. All Dragonfly vehicles can generate a plasma holographic set of wings, which provides the lift and thrust for the vehicle.


Here we see the female member of the "Dragonfly Orion Team" in flight, patrolling over the city below, with a watchful eye on what is happening in the city. On her suit and her Dragonfly is a photographic image of the Great Nebula in Orion. Her male partner has a similar suit displaying the same image, and his Dragonfly also sports the image.


Each on the other 11 teams, wear clothing and have Dragonflies that graphically display their own team names. Each team is assigned to the area in which the city they are based in is centrally located. The teams all protect the areas that surround their base city, and their base city.


At certain times, when a threat is too great to handle by just one team, more than one team joins forces to combat the threat. Sometimes a threat arises that is so powerful, that all of the teams must work together to defeat the threat. At these times they are collectively called "The Dragonflies".




This render was done as soon as I acquired the Dragonfly shown for free at DAZ. It comes with poses for Genesis 2 Females, and Genesis 2 Males, has both 3Delight and Iray optimized textures, and has two modes of flight. I used a shader for the fuselage texture, with an astronomical photo of the Great Nebula in Orion plugged into it. I used the same image for the G2F Bodysuit textures.


For the environment I used Dystopia City Blocks, with the included Skydome. To get the orange clouded sky, I changed the colors in the Surfaces/Edit Pane of DAZ Studio.

Here is one I did by thinking outside of the box.



The Sand-Witch


She has a power to affect certain small items, making them more available or less available. The problem is that what she can affect is just bread, and by association, whatever can be put on it. She thinks "I could be a superhero!" Then she thinks "Being a supervillain would be more profitable." So she makes up a name for herself "Sand-Witch" and then makes a costume to wear. She gets the spelling wrong, turning herself into a human sandwich; but because of her ability, the name and costume actually works. She becomes a wannabe supervillian.


She decides that if she is going to have any success with her decision, she must come up with a training program. She practices her ability, think up different ways to affect bread, and the sandwiches that can be made from it. She is trying to come up with a fear striking self announcement: "Behold! I am the Sand-Witch! I'm making all Peanutbutter and Jelly sandwiches disappear! You'll never enjoy eating another one" Then she tries coming up with her own evil laugh; "Booah Hah Hah Hah Hah!" It doesn't sound convincingly scary, and she knows it. She throws a fit for not being able to laugh evily, and even that is not convincing; "Oh come on, Sand-Witch! You are a supervillian!" She thinks; "Am I ever going to be taken seriously?"


In her next training session, she tries an idea she thought of. She sets up a spotlight in her lair with a red light filter, and aims it slightly upwards from the floor, to shine on a wall. Next she stands between the light and the wall so that it casts her shadow on the wall behind her. A camera she set up to take photos takes one that shows her shadow on the wall and the ceiling, looking like it is threatening her. The photo looks scary, but not in the way she hoped. "Gosh! I suck at this! Everybody will be laughing at me!" She buries her face in the pillow on her bed, and cries herself to sleep.
