February Show Off Thread 2024 = Pinup

Well it is now the Month of Love; February! This year is a Leap year, and that means this month is one day longer than it is in years that are not Leap years, so this month you will have 29 days to post your wonderful artwork. Please keep your images PG as children can and do view these threads. You may post any image you wish to show off, as long as it is PG, and fits the size limits imposed by our website host in pixel size and memory size. Comments are welcome, discussions are welcome, especially if they are about how to do something in our favorite art programs. 2D and 3D images are welcome, even if they are photos of arts and crafts you did in the noncomputerized world.


This months theme is "Pinup"; but it is not just for human figures! Any character, be it animal, fantasy creature, science fiction creature, or mythological being, can be a Pinup. And to make it even more interesting, any vehicle, object, building, or natural subject, can be a Pinup. I'm giving you the most broad range for Pinup Subjects possible, and this means nearly all images will be considered to be Pinups. You just need to make it look like a beauty shot. So get your imagination into gear and think up some good ones. Thinking outside the box will be considered as a bonus, so if you can, make the images you post have points of interest.


To get this thread going, here is my first one:


Study Date


This can be considered a traditional style Pinup, as it is a pretty girl sitting on the carpet, in front of a fireplace. There are some points of interest in the image, which I leave to the observer to identify and comment about. She is a School Girl, there to get her homework done, but she needs help with her studies. There just might be ulterior motives in play here, as well.


Look at this image, and comment about what you find to be points of interest.
