Here's a little sci-fi for the mix.

Oh jammixx... I feel for ya... I remember those long hour renders... but... Yours came out splendidly! It really feels sci-fi ... Well done!

I see a bit of noise in the render, but it still looks great. The noise could be like dust motes floating in the air and refracting light.

Four hours for your render, and it seems that the scene is not all that complex. I just got a render in DAZ Studio with 3Delight that went for about 3.5 hours for the final render. Before it reached the point of being ready for that final render, I had to do little spot renders of critical areas of the scene, The unrendered scene shows the bottom leaves of some plants as being above ground, but in reality they were half buried in the ground. I had to pull the plants upward, and spot render the leaves in question to see if they were above ground. Once I had them where they needed to be, I could then do the final render. It took a couple of days to to get my composition right. Still, the only thing I can think of that would make the render take that much time is having a lot of transparency in certain materials; which is what I wanted, so that my lighting would perform the way I wanted it.

Tiny - the Night Faerie

I made a set of special Faerie Wings and UV Mapped it in Wings3D. It has 2 material zones, and takes textured shaders very well. I have not yet rigged them, but if someone would like to rig the set, let me know. I will pack them up and send them to you. If I rig them, the rigging will be for DAZ Studio, as I don't know Poser's way yet. These wings can be attached to any figure, by positioning them correctly, and then parenting them to the chest. This image has them attached to Genesis Female.

This is a fantastic image Agent!  Using Wings3D has always been beyond me, but you got it to sing.

Congratulations to SofaCitizen!  The Sailor was on the top line of the Daz 3D gallery last night. That image really stands out.

Thanks, Jammixx. The Faerie Wings will be a product for purchase in my store at the Fantasies Realm Market as soon as I can get it setup. I am purposefully making them figure universal, so they can be used with any figure that has a 'chest bone' in its rigging; so even animals  and nonhumanoid creatures can have them parented to their chest bone. The UV map will be included for anybody that wishes to make textures for the wings. The cool thing about the way they were made is that each wing has mirrored geometry front to back, and the right wings are mirrors of the left wings. The UV map works for all wings, and the texture made for them will appear on all of them should you wish it. To make the Secondary Wings have a different set of textures from the Primary wings I have included each wing as a separate obj file. You could actually make different textures for each one, for an even more interesting look.

As I am in the process of learning more about Poser, I plan to make a Poser version as well, but if I do it, it won't be available for some time, because I need to learn Poser's version of rigging. I actually got all of my Poser Libraries in to Poser a few hours ago, including the TerraDome Runtime (a separate Runtime Library for only TerraDome products). I can now use the Millennium 3 and 4 figures, and the Millennium Animals and Fantasy creatures in Poser. I have a total of 5 libraries in Poser. Once I learn how to use the different Poser tools, I will be able to do content creation in Poser.

Thank you! And also, thanks for letting me know it made the overall top-four for a period of time - real-life has kept me mostly away from things this week so I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Altho, it has now moved into my own top-four on my gallery page so I would have been wondering what happened as I don't really know how the "discoverability" of things on the Daz Gallery works.

It is certainly good motivation to keep on learning and experimenting with types of images that I wouldn't have normally done previously :)

Last working day for me today, yeah! Now I am officially retired. This is what I got from my students: the big flower pot and Ukrainian chocolate. And they made a German text with good wishes for the future and thanks for the lessons. Each of them read one sentance from his mobile phone. This really brought tears to my eyes. My colleagues gave me some flowers, chocolates, home-made stewed apples and sausage. But I am happy that from tomorrow on my alarm clock won't ring too early in the morning :-)
