I am trying to export the obj texture challenge dress that Katje has made so I can use SW to extract the template...only trouble is I have no idea what the settings should be...does anyone know?

This guy on YouTube is incredibly boring, but he gives a good lesson on using blender to convert .obj and other file types to use in DAZ.

That's no good Jammixx...I need the obj from the dress and it's not my dress so I don't know how that would go...the dress was made by Katje and she shared the dress for people to make the textures...she did share a template but it's way to small...so I wanted to get the obj from Daz so that I could extract the template

That's the way I do it.Then in SW: Project -> extract template. I use 2048x2048 pixels.

So you have it set to poser units Erika

I have always just directly used the .obj file.  Used to be able to find them easily in the runtime.  If you have permission, I don't see how there would be a problem.  Unless you're stealing the object, I don't think it's frowned upon.

Figured out what I was doing wrong...2 things...when exporting the obj I was using the Daz setting...not the poser...Also dumb stupid me was saving the material preset as a figure/prop...no wonder my poor Daz objected to it lol

But all sorted now and I have finally shared my textures in Katje folder.
