Really pretty!
Sorry - I never saw something about giving Genesis the Generation 3 maps.
Not so much of a problem. Thing about the generation 3 figures is that each have their own UVs that will not work well on any other generation 3 figure. That would make creating a product that lets you assign those UVs to Genesis very hard to do. You would need to have all of those different UVs available in order to use them to develop the product. They would need to be part of the product itself.  In a similar way, making clothing from those figures fit Genesis would also be hard to do, with the exception that Cross Dresser already does that with the right CD Licenses. The only thing that is a problem with Cross Dresser is making the clothing that has been converted by using it conform to different morphs for the figure you fitted the clothing to. Not all morphs are supported, because there are literally hundreds of morphs for most legacy figures. In the case of Generation 4 for example, there are the base morphs for V4 and M4, which shape the figure into the base figures of A4, SP4, G4, H4, D4, and so on. Then there are the injectable morphs for each of the Base Morphs, which are not all DAZ3D products. So really I believe that what I want concerning this is just wishful thinking. More than likely, it will never happen. My way to deal with that is "Oh well.", and then to just let it be.

Thanks for the compliment on my latest image.

Yeah Agent... I think Gens older than 8 are long forgotten by Daz.  They are on to Gen 9.... Gotta keep up with them I say... lol  More money for Daz... chaaa chiiiiiiiiiing!!!  But.. isn't that a company's goal anyway... to make money?  lol

Agent0013

I think it is for most companies, but not all. Some are more dedicated to their customers. Without customers, no company will survive or make enough money to remain in business.
DAZ is better about customer satisfaction than most, in my experience, but they do still need to make money. The freebies they are constantly offering are a good way to attract business, and they often gear the ones they offer toward the goal of the customer buying what certain freebies are made for. If I do not have a product that a freebie is made for, I will put it in my wish list, until I either have the funds to buy them or they are also placed in the weekly freebies. Whet is really great about DAZ is the fact that their signature application DAZ Studio is a free one, which comes with a nice collection of content, so that you need not buy anything to actually get started using it. Hardly any other company does that.

I agree Agent... Poser is ok... but I always find myself back at Daz... I have bought a few things at Rendo though.

Agent Barney Collier of IMF

In the late 60s and early 70s of last century, I was really into the TV show "Mission Impossible" My favorite thing about the show was how they came up with awesome ways to complete mission that were otherwise impossible. A key character in the show was Greg Morris's role as Barney Collier. He was the man that could engineer almost anything the team needed to get the job done. For that reason he is my favorite character in the show. Later on they did a reboot of the show, and once again it was great, but of all the characters that ever appeared on either version, Barney Collier was to me the smartest and most capable in what he did for the team.
This is my tribute to Greg Morris and his character Barney Collier.

Sorry - with Generation 3 you are talking about Aiko3, Victoria3, Michael3 etc., right? In that case, they are sharing the same UV.
It is just Aiko3 and Hiro3 that have additional matzones for the legs, but you can simply copy/paste the material settings for SkinLeg to SkinKnee, SkinShin and SkinThigh.

I did not know that. Thanks for the information. I know that some of the Generation 3 figures do have different UVs. In fact there are even some alternate UVs made by other artists for some of them, which I believe are not offered at DAZ, but are required for the textures made by those artists. I have no idea why they wanted to have different UVs for any figure, except that maybe they did not like working with the existing ones.
The Generation 3 morphs I have for Genesis are DAZ's Gen3 Gen X for Genesis. I also have Gen X 2 for Genesis 2 Female(s), and I'm looking at getting the Gen X 2 for Genesis 2 Male(s). I have not yet fully explored the Gen X products, but I am doing so as much as I possibly can. The product has lots of things to do with it, and I wish to discover all of them.

Kathryn

Been playing around with Daz Studio and decided to try some other figures than G8F so here's a G3F and G2F image.
