April Show Off Thread 2022

Welcome to the April Show Off Thread. Post all of your wonderful images for the month here for all of us to see. Have fun viewing and conversing in this thread. Comment about what you see if you wish. Keep it friendly, please. Keep your images PG, as we do have children that can view these threads.


I was thinking about what our challenge could be for this month, and "Animals" came to mind. So here is the challenge:
Include at least one animal in an image. If you can make it look as though it belongs in the image, that will be awesome! That said, If you can make it look like the animal has no business being in the image, that will be interesting too! I would like to also suggest using animals you have had in your content, yet rarely used! I have a few myself. LOL
The challenge is not a requirement for any image posted in this thread. You may post images also that do not meet the challenge.
So let's get it going folks! To start it off, I'm posting an old image honoring a cat we love that is no longer with us. It was this month (April) that we lost him.



Dreaming of the Hunt
The cat I created this image to honor was only a little over a year old when he was killed by a pack of wild dogs. He was a black and white tuxedo, and loved to cuddle. While sleeping, he would be moving as though he was on the hunt. I think he was dreaming about it.
He and McCartney were like the best of friends, and Cookie Baby would sometimes cover him while they slept. So cute, that was!
We celebrate what life he did have with us, as he enriched our lives greatly. We love him to this day. Though Buster Boots is gone, we cherish the memories of our time with him.

Good theme Agent but isn't FA doing the same thing this month???  Seems to me I voted for the animals theme over there.  Not had a chance to look over there yet.  Hum... I guess one can never have too many animals ;)

I remember you talking about the pack of dogs a while back.  It is one of the many reasons we don't let our cats out.  Heck.. they are sooooooooo chicken... I don't think they'd even know what to do outside... LOL.

Can't wait to see what others post.  Thanks for getting us started ;)

Please look at her full size... I'm quite pleased how she turned out.  She looks rather realistic to me.  BTW.. her fur collar was the challenge item...a plant that I made into fur!  lol  My ingenuity of turning a plant into a wearable helped me win!

J forgot to mention (or was thinking "Original work only" covers it), but usually the contest renders must not be posted somewhere else. Or you have to make some changes in.

I think I can switch the artwork around a bit... Who knows... It may end up even having a furry critter in it ;)  lol.  Thanks Aelin.
