I've been looking into creating my own personal website. I don't consider myself a blogger or anything, I just would like a place to keep my thoughts and occasionally have some feedback from others. I just don't know how to go about it. I have a page on WordPress, but I think that's supposed to be a blogger thing, so I don't know if I can keep it.

I'm so totally ignorant in the ways of the web. I can do many things with a computer, but when it comes down to the ins and outs of sharing, I don't know all the rules. Besides, getting it off of my computer and out into the world is like telling an egg where to plant the tomatoes. I can't ever get it to work.

If I ever figure it out, may I copy some of these to my Homepage? I don't know if that's an issue or not. We do it here all the time, but I assume we have rights or permissions or some such. I don't even know what's required outside of personal use and storage. I just know a lot of people get irritated when you re-paste their stuff elsewhere.

Any education would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Notepad++ (text editor) for the links pages and KompoZer (WYSIWYG editor) for the other pages. It is free.

I wouldn't just do a copy/paste of my list - even in the months I spend between updates (the last one was in January) links vanish or move. I have a simple rtf textfile on my computer where I copy links I find. Before/during an update I am checking each of those before putting it in the html page.

Apart from that there is no problem for you to copy my links for your page.
