Thank you for your comments! And yes: it was some work. THe most difficult part was to sew it all together so that it fits the chair tightly. Unfortunately the chair is not for me but for an event of our local neighbourhood help. But now that I got the hang of it, I think I will look for old/used furniture to upcycle it with yarn, fabric, paint... :-)

We are a throw away society these days.  I get made fun of all the time cause I wanna keep stuff. :(

Oh, that's a pretty good deal. I paid £600 just to get the garage emptied :(

It's so true that we are so used to throwing things out these days. Nobody wants anything more than a few years old (unless it's REALLY old). Not even charities want things it seems :( Books are less than worthless these days. Managed to sell a few for some pennies but couldn't donate so all went to the recycling centre over about 7/8 car trips.

Well, you have some photos of the work for yourself and you'll get to see the item brighten up someone else's day when they recieve it so those are still some good things :)

That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sad :(  I hate buring/trashing books... Reminds me of the movie Fahrenheit 451... but yes... Not many reading books anymore... Everything is on computer.  (sighs)
