I just got an email a few moments ago that PFDLives is back!  YAY... Not sure if anyone is seeing my artwork.. Looks like they are missing.  I can repost if they don't come back.  Hope you all are keeping warm... hugzzzzzzzz

ok.. I was able to upload my previous artworks.. We still have some time til the end of the month... Hopefully you all will contribute some art.  Remember the theme is... NEW THINGS... use what you bought over the holidays or have never used before :)  I am not sure Agent is about... but I'll monitor as long as I can.  Hugzzzzzzz

You is seeing right, I finally got the site back up and the smilies were not functioning right in admin only but now they are behaving. for how long who knows.

YES, grrr... all the attachments everywhere are gone. It will not acknowledge them at all no matter wat. claims they are not uploaded, sorry but at least the site is partially functional again.

I still have some stuff to upload and add but hope it stays put. :fgirl:

Hi Everyone, I guess it's a bit late to get the January thread moving again with some "New Things" renders. I have tried to give it a ago even tho I didn't really see any good ideas jumping out from the items I have purchased recently. They're mostly quite random. So, instead I just decided to do some practice work - which I think has ended up with something pretty decent.

In a new scene I loaded up T3d Luna Genesis 9 Feminine, dForce Casual Spring for Genesis 9 and 8 Female and dForce Princess Petra's Twin Tails for Genesis 9 which have all been purchased in the last 20 days and seem to fit together well. This was paired with a neon star prop, a shy/demure pose and a brick shader on a primative plane for scene A. That was done with some custom lighting (since I need much more practice with that). That render didn't turn out that good although I poked it a bit in Photoshop and so the attached version is a little better.

I then tried again with a different camera angle (render B). For that I ditched the wall and neon star and added a "starry night" HDRI. I think that has made for a better render although it has made the name I picked for it less sensical :( I did get to use the Thickener plugin to give the sweater a more realistic edge since it originally looked like it was made of tissue paper. That wasn't a new purpose but was about time I remembered to use it.

Thanks for all you do DA... if we need to merge with FA somehow that is fine with me.  I would just like a thread like this one to post whatever we want.  I have been unable to find anything like this monthly thread over at FA... I get so lost over there.  Stay well.. hugzzzzzzzzzzzz

Thank you! :) Buying something that looks really useful and then never having the time to use it is a common theme that I do need to sort out. I'll have to try a few more of these types of renders where I start throwing things into the scene and see what happens rather than waiting for a more formulated idea.

Bring on some more "happy little accidents!" :)
