This is a good one Simon!  Nice clarity and then the glare of the Mecha's lights.  I always wondered what was going on with those half-mile long skid marks on the roads.

The old thread is locked, and has been since the 10th of March. You have nothing to worry about here, DA. I have this one well in hand, though it is not getting much from the members. Looks like I have one artist competing, thus far only with himself. Even so, if that turns out to be the case, I will award the prize to him, and choose from among the images he has posted here.


If we are going to continue with this direction, we need to discuss how the prizes will be awarded for the next challenge, and any subsequent ones after that. Let me know what you think about it.

    It may just be me, but I thought the challenge was just too much for my resources.  To do a large image with lots of things in it would definitely exceed my budget, since I am just doing this as a hobby.  I have come to notice that many of the great renders you see on DAZ3D galleries now are comprised of hundreds of dollars worth of content.  Of  course, there is a lot of skill, artistry and effort that goes into them as well.   I tend to be very selective, and get the sale items to make my images.   My library of content is small.Sorry I didn't participate.

This type of input is what we need. You are right and for the longest time I have quit paying attention to both the galleries at Rosity and Daz images because at times they are either no real content to them, although I love cats and flowers I really don't think a single flower is something to go silly over.  I also don't think you need to have loads of things in your images to get attention, but using what we have in our arsenal is what counts.


Has anyone noticed (which now I am sure RO will soon do also) is how Daz has started t do more AI? I like AI as an artform but to sit there and poo-poo it then suddenly make a part of their program doing AI work and promoting it  is redundant...LOL My opinion not everybody else's.


I like how you all here and the attic use what you have and not just give us a flower, or a cat, or another girlie with just a pose and not even try to enhance it just pose, semi dress, then render with only the normal lighting and that is it. But at least they try if they are newbies.
