And one more from me ..
She looks like a girl I knew in Virginia Beach, who went to the same schools I went to. She lived up the lane from where I lived, and we rode the schoolbus together. I found out too late that she was interested in me, and I was definitely interested in her. Her name was Margerie Davison. She had the long wavy red hair, eyes that were sometimes green, and other times blue, and awesome looking freckles. We never let each other know how we felt about each other, but we did act as great friends. We were too afraid to try having more between us. When I had to move with my family, she came to me and planted a big passionate kiss on me, and told me how she felt. I told her I felt the same way. She said "The kiss is so you won't ever forget me!" I have not forgotten her to this day!

This one is the final result of a Bryce 7.1 Pro experiment I worked on. I wanted to make the carved face look as though it was carved directly into the stone spire. To do that I had to use a Stone Material from the Materials Library in World Space mode. What that does is make the material used continuous throughout all surfaces it is used on. In this case the veins of color in the stone spire aligns with the similar vein of color in the carved face, making the face appear to be part of the spire itself. I'd say that is a great success, achieving the goal I wanted. You may recognize the face as that of the one in my previous post. I used it as a heightmap to shape the terrain object. To give it a bit of roughness, I did some slight smoothing, slight erosion, and gaussian blur. All of the shaping was done in the Bryce Deep Terrain Editor. I actually created my own stone material to use on the project. The palace on top of the spire is another terrain object I shaped to make a palace style building. I gave it a different material to provide contrast between the stone spire and the building. The sky is also a custom sky made by me in the Bryce Skylab. I wanted it to provide the feel of an alien world.

Just to show how wide the challenge theme for this Show Off Thread can be stretched, this one is to be considered a portrait also!
Cheers!

*waves back* Thank You! :) I'm glad she is appreciated - she's been hanging around in a half-finished state for many months and even when I vowed to do some portrait renders it still took a while to find the right hair. I am happy with what I chose and that she has her chance to shine. Will post another one later ... but first I have a truck to decorate! :)

Simon, she looks SWEEEEEEEET! WOOHOO!
Various items of dForce clothing exploded min-simulation, so it was fun and games!!! The intent was to get the 'spread of hair' effect (which I think came out pretty well) and she needed someclothing to allow me to post here, otherwise the image would have been framed differently and some of the hair cropped out by that!
