This time there are 16 weekly freebies at DAZ 3D. I already owned 2. I grabbed all of the rest, even though the 4 that are for G9 are currently not usable for me. At least I'll have then when I get a PC that can handle them.

Wow Kathryn, I love the different textures you used for the Mertail attachment. Did you make the textures yourself? The transmap must be interesting to see by itself. Makes me want to do something similar to my Mertails! Extremely well done indeed!


I am happy to see how many images are being contributed for the Challenge in this thread! We are getting to see some awesome well imagined images! Keep them coming, my friends!

No agent, I didn't texture it myself, it came that way.. plus some other great textures as well.  It's called Oceana for V4 and these are the original textures..

Well I did a search for the awesome Oceana for V4 product pack. I found that it is no longer available for purchase or for free. One of the artists that helped develop it left the DAZ 3D store, and no longer sells anything there. No explanation given, concerning that. Still it means that we who do not have the package cannot purchase it.


I do have some awesome Mertail products though, so I will make do with that.


I am at this time working to develop a new product of this type, which will be a whole different take on the Merfolk theme. I am modeling and UV mapping the parts. The rigging will need to be precise, due to how it will fit together. That is still a bit in the future, and I may need instruction on how to do it. At any rate, when it is done, I think it will make a good product to sell.

Wicked Siren Predator


Sirens are not the lover types they are reported to be. Though sailors that have been at sea for very long periods of time tell tales that are really just their own wishful thinking, their stories could not be further from the truth. These creatures are predators, with a taste for human male blood. If you could get close enough to one, to see her up close, when she smiles as she sings, you will see her rows of pointy teeth. What do you thing she actually eats? Why does she lure human men to join her in the sea? It surely isn't for love!
