I cannot get my Poser 10 to work on my computer. But I won Poser 11 a little more than a year ago. It works but the learning curve is big, as I forgot a lot of how Poser works. I have used DAZ Studio a lot more that either of my versions of Poser, and it can use most of the content that works with Poser, Poser can use a lot of what DAZ Studio has also. My wish is to be able to use both together to get the best results possible for my renders. Poser's lighting is way better that DAZ Studio's, but I know how to get lighting working the way I want in DAZ Studio. I usually create my own lights. The clothroom in Poser has the ability to do dynamic cloth much more easily than what I can use in DAZ Studio. They say DAZ Studio's D-Force engine is comparable, but my PC won't handle it. Thus I have to use the Optitex Dynamic clothing in DAZ Studio. Which is the only other dynamic clothing engine DAZ Studio can use. I need to learn more about Poser than I am learning, but my need to keep myself current as possible in DAZ Studio gets in the way. LOL

Earlier this week I installed Daz Studio and that was just an additional lesson in futility. I just could not figure out how to get around in there let alone actually make it useful. I'll use it at some point, but that'll be after I've sat still long enough to watch a couple hours of tutorials.

So far as human figures are concerned, DAZ 3D is at the top for excellence. the new Genesis 9 is already showing lots of promise, with realism that is hard to detect as virtual, if that is what you want. Also there is the ability to morph Genesis 9 into any existing real person, such as yourself, by just using a few photos of the person. Then you can do all kinds of things to that virtual version of the person. You can even add morphs to the virtual version person, such as reshaped ears, enlarged eyes, pointier chin, hawk nose, head or face ridges, etc. You could even make yourself look like an alien version of you. All that is in the latest version, but you need a good graphics system for it to work. Nvidea is the one DAZ Studio requires, and I do not have that. Otherwise I would have already grabbed the latest version. I am still using DAZ Studio 4.10, and it does good enough for me to never get bored.
