That is true, Dana. My sister had a subscription to the Archie comic books, and there were Archie comic strips in the papers.

Just for the record LL -- you are a very good artist and if like me the ideas are there but getting them to leave home is what is hard. I use to sharpen, fade out, or blur a lot and at times use reflections with PS layer effects and the darken/lighten brush tools to enhance areas.


Even the greatest of artists have off days. Just take your idea, run with it, make layers and most of all save often. oh yeah, remember to work on a duplicate of your original image.

I agree with DA on this, Llola. You are much better than you think. The way you made the focus on the ladies in the image you posted makes the eye go to what you want the viewer to look at. This is a very well done image!

Well it appears that one of my images won for the Big Picture in the month of April. I was hoping someone else would win this time.


Folks, please feed the Big Picture thread more. I want good competition, so I'm not to sole winner each month. I challenge all to bring their best to that thread. Remember that bigger pictures show more detail, and that's what the Big Picture thread is for. Subjects for your images are open except for anything beyond PG in rating. We have children that can and do view these threads. Remember, that at least one direction in image size must be 2000 px to 3000 px, while the other direction can be anything up to 3000 px.


Now I need to let DA know my prize choice.

Mom & Son Explore a Home


Their family has just moved in at their new home, and have not seen all of the place yet. So while Dad is at work, Mom takes her son to explore the place better.  Here they are checking out the outdoor deck. The curious kid looks eagerly around missing almost nothing. He will help Mom tell Dad about what they found.

Sweety mom's being the focus there are all sorts of Moms, not just human but almost anything can be a mom, cats-dogs-dinos-cars....and so on.
