Hello all. I have some really bad news to relate. My apologies in advance..Our landlord, who is quite a nice guy, came to us today to deliver the ultimatum of Code Enforcement. They told him he had to have all tenants out and their trailers off lot in 2 weeks (14 days), or the park will be shut down permanently. With the way the economy is going in this country, that is practically an impossibility for us. Our trailer is already in really bad shape, and needs good tires to even move. If it is moved, it will likely collapse in on itself. We have no vehicle at this time, due to the last accident we were in last year. We just got enough saved to buy a vehicle, and have one lined up, but the dealer has yet to receive the title, which is still about a month away. And if we must move out, it will take all that saved up money to pay for the move. On top of all of that, we have to get the lot cleaned up and completely devoid of anything related to the trailer, including what we stored underneath. Both my brother and I are not in the best of physical health, and doing the work we need to get done in 2 weeks will hurt us badly. Neither of us make enough to actually live on in this economy, we have to rely on sale items for food, and hope they will last out each month. What little we have in our freezer and refrigerator will likely spoil before we can get it into another of those devices. That will be a big loss for us.I am at my wits end, trying to figure out how to begin making online money that can turn things around for us before we reach the deadline that was given to us by Code Enforcement. We had been doing all we could to pinch pennies, and save enough to get into a better place, and then Code Enforcement comes and ensures that we will lose what we had saved up already. So I am asking for advice from those of you that know, what would be the best way to make a lot of money online that will at least pay out in short order. My small amount of retirement pay is coming this Wednesday, and if I can invest in something that is guaranteed to make money, and quickly, I may be able to pull my brother and I out of this cesspool of troubles. Let me know what you think, and if you have some really good advice, please leave links for me to follow. As things stand at this time, we do not know where we will be able to go. Understand I am not begging for money, just for good advice.

I don't know what kind of social programs you have where you live, but I'd check to see if there's one that can help you.  Also, look into the Food Stamp program (they don't call it that anymore, but it's the same program)  I don't know if the Red Cross would help in this circumstance, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.  And Salvation Army.


Code Enforcement?  What kind of code requires a landlord to throw everyone out at the threat of being shut down?  If everyone is thrown out, that would effectively shut him down!  What's the difference?  It makes no sense.  Two weeks is not much time.  In Massachusetts, evictions aren't that fast or easy.  If you've been living there for a while and not in arrears in your rent, there has to be a darn good reason to evict you!


This sounds fishy to me.  What Code are they enforcing?

Where we are living is an RV Park in a state park. Code Enforcement has not cared for over five years in this particular one, but just recently they got a wild hair where the sun doesn't shine. Maybe their boss said something about doing their jobs? Crazy thing is, instead of giving folks time to comply to their rules, they decided to vent on us! I seriously doubt that many of us will be able to work it out, to get moved in time. We have an elderly lady in the trailer next to ours whose health is no that great, and she might not survive the move. Others in this RV park are also in bad health, including my brother. My health is not stellar, but I am not even close to being as bad off as he is.
We have been researching ways to get aid in this sudden move we must make, but I suspect we will need more time than Code Enforcement is willing to give us. They have already shut down a couple of other RV Parks in this area, so we know they mean business. Thing is, we live here, because it is all we have been able to afford since the last Presidential election. The way the economy has gone through the roof on prices, has made saving up enough to make a successful move impossible. So we had saved enough to buy a vehicle we could use to do Door Dash to make money, and before we could buy the vehicle this happens, delivering an ultimatum of impossible difficulty.
I know it seems confusing, and it is, even to my ordered mind, but there you have it.

Complain to your Representatives and Senators!  Their contact info is usually easy to find online.  Contact a news station and explain what's happened.  These things sometimes make a difference.  And do the other things I suggested...don't wait, the sooner the better.

Our representative won't be of any help. He has already indicated that in the actions he has taken recently. He cares very little about anybody other than himself. As for the Senators, I would not know which one is which.
There is not enough time to stop this process. We know that we must move, so my thing is to do all I can to make enough money to take the sting out of the rules they want to enforce. For that I am looking into several online work options, most of which I have received links to. My research is in intensity mode now. Gotta look at each option and see which will be the best path to take. Lots of good ones found already, but now I'm reading reviews and ratings for those I have already found due to links given to me by various sources.

I am in Georgia. We are working on getting aid, and I am working on finding an online way to make money. As for my leg, it is not fully recovered yet, but is slowly getting there. At least it is not in extreme pain now. My biggest issue now it the sprained knee caused by said pain. And then there is the itch of healing.

It's at times like this that we wish we had a magic wand Agent...my heart is definitely hurting for you here...and I am surprised that you could be kicked out on such shot notice...Heck not only living in Australia means I don't know the laws over there...but I am too far away to be of any help!
