Genesis - Aiko 3 MechGirl
(This is a portrait of a type, but I am not including it in the portrait theme. It is more meant as a showing of what the GenX product line is supposed to do.)
When I grabbed DAZ Studio 4.0 in 2010, the application included several products as free content. Among those products was the Aiko 3 MechGirl bundle which included Aiko 3 LE, The MechGirl Suit, and the Stinger. That was also the version that introduced the Genesis Base Figure, with a few character morphs to get you started using Genesis.
Now it's no secret that a big favorite figure for me is Aiko 3, as she is one of the cutest anime girls. I have done a lot of images using her. I have a fair sized collection of character morphs for her, and a sizeable Wardrobe and Hair library. I also have lots of poses for her. And that brings me to the one problem that can hurt the quality of an image, when using any millennium 3 or 4 figure. (I think the earlier figures were even worse.) I call it the armpit crease problem, and all the millennium figures seem to have it. It is most noticeable when the arms are in the down to the sides position. It looks unnatural.
With the Genesis figure, the geometries and rigging were much improved, and that armpit crease problem is for the most part, completely gone.
Back in those days I was trying to fit the older clothing to Genesis, but only Mil 4 clothing was able to fit. None of the Mil 3 clothing was fitting Genesis at all. Then came CrossDresser, and much of the clothing for Mil3 could be fitted to Genesis fairly well, though skirts and dresses had a lap deformity.
In the last couple of years, I was able to acquire some of DAZ's GEN X product line. One of those expansion packs included the morphs and clothing fits for the main Mil 3 figures; M3, H3, V3, and A3. I had not tried the fits yet, but have used the A3 figure morphs for Genesis several times. She looks exactly like the original Aiko 3, but without the Armpit Crease Problem. Today I finally got around to trying the fits for A3 clothing to Genesis. Now I do have a MechGirl suit for Genesis 2 Female(s), and it can be fitted to Genesis, and it looks almost like the original. This, however, is the original MechGirl Suit for Aiko 3, that I got way back in 2010, and it is fitted to Genesis, morphed into Aiko 3! The one problem was the boots, but after fiddling with the pose dials for the feet and toes, they don't look bad. Every other part of the outfit fits well. This also works for several other A3 outfits, and I'm sure the other Mil 3 figure clothing too. This opens up a lot more clothing and hair for Genesis!
Now, if I'm not mistaken, Gen X is supposed to support the transference of the old injection morphs from the Mil 3 and 4 figures to Genesis. I've not tested that yet, but I think to make that work properly, Genesis should be in zero morph form. I'll be testing that in the next few days, and I'll get back to you on that.

Wonderful render Saphirewild!  I think you are doing really well with the lighting challenges.  Good luck in the competition.

As some of you may already know, my husband has prostate cancer that's metastesized into his bones.  He went into the hospital this past week with breathing problems and they not only found out that he had pneumonia in his right lung, but the cancer had spread to his lungs too.  They've moved him to a rehab for therapy and, hopefully, he'll be ambulatory and home soon.

Meanwhile, like I always do when I'm upset or worried about something, I took to my art to vent.  Death can't have him yet.

Wow, a heavy burden to carry, for all - I can only hope for the best outcome!
And a good render!
