OK Gang... I've joined the fun... Here's my Rhea dress on Genesis 9... and because Agent asked so nicely she's being escorted down the runway with a male model!  ENJOY!

p.s... I don't like the choppiness of the dress... The blocks don't line up to my satisfaction.  I may play with some pattern placement to see what I can come up with.... later ... ;)

Looks to me like you did a fantastic job retexturing on the Rhea Dress, Llola! I love the richness you put in that red color, and the satin shine. Your male model looks awesome.


Erika, you are right about how much fashion is available for male figures. My wardrobe for female figures in each generation is always at least 3 times that of the males from the same generation. So what I do is create textures or shaders that upgrade the look of the male figure wardrobe items. Even so, what can be done is limited, because there is not enough variety in clothing for male figures.


The next image I upload will be Andrei for Genesis in an outfit I reworked to make it look more fashionable. The image is done, but I need to do a small amount of post work to get it ready for upload.

Copy Boy Heart Throb


This is Andrei for Genesis wearing a Copy Boy outfit. I retextured it mainly by just adjusting the colors, as the default textures for it, have the displacement I wanted already. The vest looks great and fashionable, so I made the shirt color dark grey, and the jeans black. The shoes are from another outfit, and I used a leather shader to make the shoes look like they are well kept; like the shoes I used to polish with shoe polish every week as a child.
The environment is a wall set that was free with one of the versions of DAZ Studio. I created a primitive plane and put a Polished Stone shader on it. I made a displacement texture in PowerPoint to make the plane look tiled and applied it in the displacement channel of the Surfaces Editing tab. Please view the full size of the image to see that detail.
Andrei is quite buff, and a good looking man. Any lady would be proud to be on his arm.

Glad you like my dress and guy Agent.  The dress was a simple 'glitter' shader I had... Nothing fancy cause I didn't want the lines of the patchwork to show on the dress.  I've found tiny patterns hide a multitude of sins... lol.

I think I have Andrei also... I wonder how he would look in Iray?  hummmm

Andrei is a Genesis character, and so far as I know, there are no Iray textures for him. The textures I have for Genesis are optimized for 3Delight. He is actually among the Genesis Freak 5 collection of characters.

Where is this Basic Wear T for G8M?  Couldn't find it with a search at DAZ, not in my Product Library.  Was it free with G8M?
