Send in a ticket... Daz will refund the difference... I know it's frustrating with the ongoing sales.  Ughhh

Well that didn't work...obviously don't like me!!

Sanbie, I  found that DAZ Studio does keep a record of all materials/textures used in an image. It is the textures that are the main factor that slows down a render. The more complex your image is, the more textures there will be  If you try different texture sets on a model in the same composing session, the ones you don't use for the render are still stored in the list. I've not found a way to remove them from the list, except by saving the session as a scene or scene subset, closing DAZ Studio, restarting it, loading the  scene or scene subset, and then rendering.
If you wish to see the list, go to the Surfaces tab - Edit feature. Next find the Diffuse Color part of the surfaces parameters there, and click on the little box next to the color bar. The list of all images used or tried will pop up. If it is a long list, you can scroll up and down to find a particular texture image.
Hope this helps.

these are some google links to get rid of those files:

clear cache files in DS4+

I would take a whack at the ones in the DZTemp folder first --- that would be the 3rd one in the list.

I have render times anywhere from 6 minutes to a couple of hours on my computer. As  already  indicated, my computer is a weak one for rendering. While I  wish my computer  could do renders faster, I  realize this is what I  have, and so I  live with it. Until I get a better computer, there's no reason for me to be worrying over it. I'm  a patient man, some saying I am too patient.
I knew a digital artist back when most home computers were not as powerful as mine. He was working as a 3D modeler making models of internal organs for the medical community. His render times went for several days, weeks, or even months to complete. If it needed to be animated, he would send it to a render farm, and pay  to have the animation rendered. Yes even then, the render would take months to complete. All of his textures were hand painted using a digital paint program. My patience might be legendary, but nothing compared to his.
