She doesn't look like she would be very warm or comfy.

Katje, your image is not as large as it should be for this thread. It is good enough for the other threads we have for posting art, and I like what you did, but you should move it to the March Show Off Thread. That thread is not just about the challenge theme I posted. Other subjects for art are allowed in any of the Monthly Show Off Threads. I will thank you in advance for moving the image.

Birds of Prey - Falcon Squadron

Have you ever wondered what bird was the inspiration the Romulans took to design and build their warships after? As we know, the Romulans are an offshoot of Vulcan as are their neighboring people the Remans. Both settled in the same system on a Binary world pair. The Romulans settled on Romulus, and the Remans on Remus. But on either of the named worlds, Vulcan, Romulus, or Remus, are there any birds? If so, are they like the birds of Earth? Or were birds seeded on planets throughout the Alpha Quadrant of the Galaxy, much like the humanoid lifeform? Did the Romulans visit Earth long ago and find a type of bird they had an affinity with? And if they did, did they take some of those birds as companions and pets, moving them to their own worlds? Or perhaps did they find those birds to be not unlike themselves, if and when they visited Earth?

Lots of questions here to consider, though we may never know the answers to any of them. We do know that certain starship designs in the Romulan Star Empire's Star Navy are called Birds of Prey, and those ships sport a raptor type bird on their hulls, and are designed with the aggressive stance of a Bird of Prey on the hunt. But why do they call them Birds of Prey?

Here in the atmosphere of a fairly new habitable planet, in the Great Nebula in Orion (M42), several falcons of different breeds join a Romulan Bird of Prey in a Death Dive. Some of these falcons can reach more than 186 mph (300 KMPH) in a dive, yet can pull out of the dive before crashing into the ground! They are quite remarkable birds! The Romulan ship's Commander likes to emulate the feats of these birds!

I will see about removing it from this thread myself. You should be able to upload your render to either of the other threads. Sanbie suggested uploading it to Llola's thread, and I agree that it would be a good addition to that thread. If you still have the picture on your computer, just upload it to the 2023 Render a Month challenge, the same way you uploaded it to this thread. The reason we need you to do this part, is because it is your image, and your profile must be attached to your image post. We will want to be sure that you get the credit for the picture if it wins for the month.
I hope you are able to understand what I am saying here. I am trying to make it easy for your translation program.

Your image might remain in this one for a few more days, until I can get the correct procedure to remove it.

The above link should take you to the last page of the thread.

Nice idea - that reminds me I have some Trek spaceships lurking (cloaked ..?) in my runtime, somewhere ...!

I have quite a few myself, though only a small number installed. I keep the others in their zips to save memory, and bring them out when I need them.
