In case folks wish to know about JSPlacement, it is a texture generating software, which can generate dot grids, greyscale heightmaps, matching color maps, wire maps, and a couple of other types of texture. The textures it makes can be used for whatever texture job you want. The main focus of it is greebles, and not just one type of them. It makes the texture images at 8K squared in pixel size. They can be used as is, or you can reduce their size in another image editor, or you can cut out what you wish to use from them. The generation is random, and has several shapes that can be used. There is a way to get more shapes into the program, but what is has by default is good enough to make thousands of texture images. You can tweak the settings to make the textures generate differently. It can be set to generate seamless tileable textures, or you can set it to generate It is from these textures that I make my Tech Shaders. I also open them in PD Howler and use the polarize tool to make circular versions of the greeble textures.

The cool thing is that Bryce can use them to make actual models of spaceships, cities, fortresses, etc. And after the models are made, matching color maps can be applied in the Deep Texture Editor of Bryce. It is how many of my ship and city models have been made.
The model I used in my last uploaded image was made by another artist, but the textures I put on it are from my JSPlacement Generated collection.

A little more info for you concerning JSPlacement: It is a totally free download, easy to install, and easy enough to get started using it. I would personally like to see more of us using it. It can obviously make an artist's renders look more interesting. If you wish to know how to use the textures as displacement maps, I am quite proficient in that, and will be willing to provide instruction. I use it in DAZ Studio, so that is where i would be focusing my tutorials on it for now. Once I get better with Poser Pro 11, I'll provide instruction for that application, when I finally know myself what to do.
