I can't remember how to do this. Is there a way to save poses in DS without any of the rotations being visible? I'm sure there is but I forget the steps thanks for any help.

Are you using a PFE?
If yes, when you save, uncheck all cases concerning Rotation.

Now, if you are using the DS4 stuff itself, I'm not on the comp able to help you. But must be somehting like
File => Save as => pose(r) preset
There choose your own settings, looking the tree inside the + button until you find to uncheck the Rotation.

Hoping this will help you.
DS3, Poser, Wings3d, PD Artist, FlowScape, Photoshop, Ivy Generator, Sculptris, DS4, Bryce... I can't choose! :)

What, exactly, do you mean by 'without any of the rotations being visible'?  If you mean the rotation of the figure, then try this:
select the figure, File> Save As .. > Pose Preset> (supply name for pose)
When the next dialog box appears expand (click on little triangle by the figure name), the do the same for the list entry for General, then for Transforms, then uncheck Rotation.  Click Accept and you should be done.  Pose will now apply to your figure and not alter it's rotation.  Uncheck Transition if you also do not wish the figure to change location in your scene.
