Thanks Saph and Aelin... I'm glad it's not just me.  I think I have noticed it bad since about discord.  Interesting.  We pay all this money to Daz... you think they'd have a better forum :(...  I feel so lost without my friends there.  I don't have anyone's email address.

I'm thinking... Maybe I need to get some of my friends to here in case of emergencies.  Daz needs a way to tell their customers when they have troubles.  So unprofessional... It's like they turned off the computers Friday and said "Screw it... It's the weekend... I'm out'ta here!"

Thank goodness for PFDLives!  Hugzzzzzz to you all.

Cornered But Not Down

A person that is well trained in the Martial Arts, he uses his skills to fight against the evil that tries to strike fear into the hearts of others, for their own gain. He has become quite well known, because of his actions against crime and corruption. He is the target of many that want to end him, and stop him from helping their victims. Now he has been backed into a corner, so to speak, in which he seemingly has no way out. Even so, he is still on his feet, relatively unharmed, and ready to fight. There are several that he is facing, and though they are tough individuals, their skills cannot match his.

This is an image I put together using a character, I have never used. His hair, clothing, and even the environment have never been used by me, even though I have had all of them for at least 2 years. I can say without a doubt that everything in this image was acquired at DAZ 3D while they were Freebies of the Week. The outfit had been in my Wishlist for some time, and Hiro 4, the hair, and his poses came available in a bundle, which I believe included that outfit. The environment has been in my runtime for about 4 years, and this is my first use of it.

I've got Hiro in my runtime and I don't think I've ever used him either... lol.  I'm not really a 'toon' person but I'm sure I got him for a good deal... lol.   This is proving to be a great month for MAKING me make art with unused stuff.  I may have to break him out into some art also ;)  Thanks for sparking some interest for me Agent.  Well done!

This version is Hiro 4. As we all know about the Mil 4 figures, the loading process is frustratingly long, as you must go through a process choosing what features you want loading with the figure. Usually I load M4 with all the other figure morphs turned on, then I just dial in the morphs I want. But the loading process is so long I can make a cup of instant coffee, including heating the water, while I wait. So when I load a character morph, I immediately save it as a Scene Subset, to keep from having to load everything the way it does from the Runtime.
You might think it's odd, but I don't have Hiro 3 at all! In fact, I just now put it in my DAZ Wishlist. LOL

I have H3 and H4, use them few. I stand with M4 and V4, and the little Sadie.
For V4, M4, K4 and H4, I have saved them in a scene on Daz, in their default pose, with default skin but already all their morphs. I find it's faster than just load them each time. I made that for when I had to do plenty renders for FRM newsletters.
For H3 Agent, keep an eye on him. Daz removed from their shop Maddie and Matt 2 or 3 years ago. And I think they did it also for Laura and Luke. Not sure the generation 3 stays longer.

Llola, I feel like if Daz was trying to find a (bad) excuse to remove fully their forum. There is a topic I follow pretty everyday, "there is always another sale", and there are often complaining people inside, specially on non working sales. Maybe Daz wants no more to see such messages.
And during several days they didn't add their biweekly freebies. When they did? Back to the list they had put for the previous 2 working weeks. Their banner on shop says "weekly freebies" already, but if they no more want to make freebies, perhaps just annouce it would be better.
DS3, Poser, Wings3d, PD Artist, FlowScape, Photoshop, Ivy Generator, Sculptris, DS4, Bryce... I can't choose! :)

Yes... I did that too... before I got my new computer I had all the main characters saved as scene subsets... I'm gonna have to look and see if they are still on my old hard drive... That would make things easier for using the old stuff.  ;)

I have a bunch of Generation 3 stuff that I got for cheap... but I must admit I don't use them much.  Now that I'm using Iray they look pretty plastic and stiff.  I'll have to play some more ;)

I think Daz knows that when you have ANY business you can't please everyone.  Unfortunately the people that complain do tend to take over the forums.  That is one reason I try and stay positive.  I don't want to be remembered at the 'old crab' when I leave this world ;)  I just hope they fix it once Monday comes along.  Good thing we have here to complain.  I love this forum... non-biased... ;)

I found Hiro3 and applied Kieran skin to him.  I don't have many add-ons but the bodysuit for Hiro but luckily the skin came with hair.  I cut off his bottom half cause I couldn't find any shoes.. lol.  I also added a leather texture to the bodysuit.  ENJOY!

These Waves Crash on No Shore

As technologies advance new possibilities will always arise. Sometimes, the new possibilities arise based upon an old one.

On Earth, in the 1900s to the mid 2000s a very popular sport was enjoyed, taking place on the planet's oceans. It was so popular, that a comic book character was designed after the sport. That character's name was 'Silver Surfer', and yes; he rode a surfboard. Not on an ocean as we know it, but on the waves of the Cosmic Tides. In the time when the comic book character was created, such technology only existed in the comic books. Yet on Earth, humans were enjoying surfing as a water sport, even competing in events.

Fast forward to the future. The year is 3570. The Inter-Galactic Alliance is keeping peace across billions of galaxies, spanning an area over 1,000,000,000 lightyears wide in all directions. Citizens of the IGA come from countless worlds throughout IGA space; and enjoy the benefits of shared knowledge and technologies. This is how the IGA has grown so large in a very short amount of time. With shared technologies, we use tools from everywhere to create more technology, and with shared knowledge, we figure out how to do things never possible before.

Actually some guy that had a vintage collection of Marvel Comics Silver Surfer thought it would be cool if the technology actually existed. So he slapped some materials together, building in special systems that would create a sustained but invisible atmosphere around the surfer, while also loaded with Cosmic Wave Receivers. The Cosmic Wave Receivers allow the device to ride Cosmic Waves at millions of times the speed of light!

When the first Cosmic Wave Surfboard was demonstrated, it was soon the desire of many young sports enthusiasts! And so, it is now possible, in that future time, to ride a surfboard across the stars, surfing the Cosmic Waves, letting them take you where they may. And your motto might be "These Waves Crash on No Shore!"

I retextured the outfit using textures I made using JSPlacement, It makes some really awesome greeble and sci fi textures. The same texture was also used on the board. I made the board in DAZ Studio, using DAZ Primitive shapes, which take well to basic and some advanced textures, especially shaders. I just created my own shader, and tweaked it to suit the items I used it on. Nothing I actually save as it is fun putting things together for different effects.

Interesting surfing idea Agent... I do remember Silver Surfer but I don't remember watching it.  He was probably before my time.  lol

From a quick Google search:
The Silver Surfer is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character also appears in a number of movies, television, and video game adaptations. The character was created by Jack Kirby and first appeared in the comic book Fantastic Four #48, published in 1966.
 • I'm sharing this image to show what he looks like. He was in the second Fantastic 4 movie. Jessica Alba (the actress that portrayed Sue Richards aka Invisible Girl) liked the look of him.
