It has it's ups downs and sideways .... on the whole a useful direction for DAZ to pursue, hopefully they'll get it right as opposed to letting be 'good enough' ;)  Be sure that whatever computer you get is good for dForce (can run OpenCL to a good enough level -  on Intel CPU, or nVidia GPU, and, maybe I think, AMD GPU).  An nVidia gfx card will also be of use if you want to dabble with Iray, of course.

Thanks Simon... I'm writing all that down on my 'list of things needed' for the new computer ;)

Well folks I changed the title of this thread to include 2020 since it is already July and a new one didn't get made...RL took over big time. :tearlaugh:

DarkAngel, There really does not need to be a year or two in the title. When I first created the original thread, it was one thread for big pictures for as long as it could go. That said, if you decide that we should create a new thread for the big pictures each year, we can do that.

No idea if this will work or not ... a video capture of a li'l dog singing/howling along to a bit of music - and apparently it's ONLY that piece of music he does it to!
It's a 200MB file so if deemed to big or has an adverse impact on server/site performance please do remove it!
Hmm, ok, adding it as an image does not work (as it.s a .mov?), maybe
? (And no, looks like adding as a web link does not work either)

Simon, the file size is too large, and the format is not supported. The site will not let such files upload successfully. I suggest converting it to a format supported by YouTube, and uploading it to YouTube. Then you can share the YouTube video link here at PFDLives, which will play for any viewers here, with no problems for our forum.

Ok, should have deleted the .mov version.  Converted the .mov to a .mp4 (of 'youtube sd quality), thence to a .gif, so ... here we go, as I know .gifs work .. a small doggie barking along to a song ...

A bit more fun is .. that bloke in the red t-shirt in the background?  That's me :)

Yeah, not sure what happened with the sound - I suspect the conversion from mp4 to gif dropped it (and increased the file size in the process!)

Did that mean little westie disturb your reading Simon?  I don't have to worry about that.  When I'm reading a bomb could go off next door and I wouldn't notice.
