1. Load your Glowmoon Figure. I'm using the Lo Res for this tutorial.

2. Ok, if you render it now, you're gonna get a black spot....we're going to make the MoonEclipse portion of the figure invisible. When doing this, make sure you have the MoonEclipse picked.

3. In your Planets folder in your pose tree, lets double click on RedSun. You'll get this:

When you render it you'll have something that looks like this. Still not very appealing...what red sun glows white?

4. Click your Materials tab. A quick note here.....when I tell you to use the materials drop down menu, this is the one I'm talking about.

5. The first material zone its showing (comes up first by default) is the MoonEclipse material zone. We've already made it invisible so nothing we do here will matter....so using the drop down button for material goto the MoonGlow material zone (we're skipping Moon because we already applied that mat via the pose tree). You'll get the below looking material room. You'll notice that the preview at the bottom is just ugly white....

6. If you look the top line is Diffuse_Color, click the little plug in thingie next to the white area. Goto New Node/2D Textures/Image Map.

7. Now, you should have something that looks very similar to this:

8. See on that new Image Map where it says Image_Source...NONE...well...lets change that! If you click where the None is, you'll get a pop-up menu for you to browse to your texture we're gonna use for here.

9. Now, lets click browse and browse to where you installed the Glowmoon pack. Now, look for GM_RedSun.jpg file. This should be in the runtime:textures:Garree folder in your runtime. Click ok to make the popup go away once you've found the texture.

10. Now, you should have something that looks like this:

11. If you were to render it right now, you'd have something that looks like this:

12. Now, back to your material zone drop down menu. This time select the MoonCorona material zone.

13. Starting with the above step 6, lets apply the exact same GM_RedSun.jpg texture to the Moon Corona.

14. Now render it! You'll get something like this

Now...I should of told ya'll at the beginning to change your background to black or a darker color for a better looking glowing sun....so....if you goto Display/Background Color and change it something darker....

Also, when using the Glows in their pose folder. Apply the Glow you want to use before making your changes in the Material Room!
