This thread is created for the purpose of sharing YouTube, and other videos that are tutorials made for DAZ Studio. Anyone can post a share link in this thread. I will be posting some here from time to time also.

I would prefer that the ones posted be for tutorials that are easy to follow, so with that in mind I ask that you watch a video and see if you can follow its instructions successfully before posting the share link. If it works for you with a minimum amount of trouble, post the share link. If you are having trouble with it from the beginning, please do not post it!

Make sure that the share links you post are for DAZ Studio and closely related subjects. In other words, the video must have something to do with DAZ Studio. If there is no mention of DAZ Studio, do not put the share link in this thread. I wish to keep this thread as organized as possible. That said, if it concerns other applications along with DAZ Studio, you can post the share link here.

How to Post a Share Link

  • Find a video you think is interesting.
  • Watch it and determine how easy it is to follow.
  • When it is done find the share link for it, and hilight it, then copy it. (The share link is not the web address found in the address bar of your browser. See Screenshot 1.)
  • Navigate to this thread, and post the copied share link in a new comment.
  • You may post a comment concerning your thoughts on the video, if you wish.
  • Click Post, and you're done.
I am posting the first one with this first post. It is done by Medhue, and it concerns installing third party content into DAZ Studio. This person does not have a good sound volume, so you will need to listen close, or find a way to amplify the sound. Here is the share link:

This is another one made by Medhue. It covers making your own morphs in DAZ Studio, and saving them so that you can use them whenever you need them. This is the video that helped me to learn how to do this. Also any morphs you make using this method will be able to be added to a morphs package, zipped and uploaded for others to use. I have made four morphs so far for Genesis 1, and they are all dialed morphs so that I can choose how much the morph affects he model. That is a big improvement over injection morphs!

The really cool thing about this is hat it will work with any model you have! You can use it to make morphs for

any figure, human, animal, or creature, as well as any other type of model you have in your content, and even for any model you import from outside the application!

The volume is low, just as it is in the first video, so do what you can to be able to hear him.

I don't know if it's worthwhile, but Daz has provided a bunch of new tutorials and manuals for DS4.  Here's the link to the video stuff:

Jammixx, the link you have provided may be invalid now. I am getting the 404 not found message. I have that manual already, and it covers only the basics of DAZ Studio. For advanced users, and users that wish to learn advanced features such as making morphs and advanced surfacing techniques, the User's Manual  is useless. It is good for those getting started with the application, and is at least an improvement over the track record of DAZ 3D in the past. DAZ Studio is their number one application, yet instructional documentation for it had been lacking for several years. When I first downloaded it I had to search for tutorials just for the basics. Then I got Hexagon and Bryce, and was able to find a good manual for Bryce within a couple of weeks, I am still not up on Hexagon so much, because the interface is so confusing. Still I am trying to get into content creation using DAZ Studio as a Major tool, and the tutorials for doing that are lacking in certain areas. I can make morphs and shaders, thanks only to 3rd party instructions.

This thread is about video tutorials concerning all aspects of DAZ Studio, not document style tutorials. No disrespect to you Jammixx, but though I appreciate your efforts, document style tutorials and manuals should be posted to another thread meant for that type. If you wish, you can create a thread for that purpose. I'm sure it will be appreciated by all of us here, and having something like that would be great for me too because others might be able to find what I with my admittedly terrible search skills cannot.

Stay Awesome!
